Megan and Wayne

Megan and Wayne

We love any excuse to enjoy sea and sand so we were delighted when Megan and Wayne asked us to shoot their wedding at All Smiles on Sorrento’s back beach. This amazing venue sits on top of a cliff above the wide, picturesque beach and is a stunning location at any time but especially for a wedding. The bridal party had stayed down at Sorrento for the week before the wedding and, by the time we caught up with them, they were all relaxed and ready to enjoy the day. The guys in the bridal party are gridiron football players and are larger-than-life characters in every sense and made the whole day a lot of...

Ainsley and James

Ainsley and James

Ainsley and James were married at the magnificent St John’s Church in Toorak and this wedding was unusual for us in Melbourne as, having lived in Australia for only 4 years,¬† we knew many of the guests. In fact we had been invited as guests ourselves but found it hard to put our cameras down and relax! After the ceremony we joined Ainsley and James at Quat Quatta in Ripponlea for their main photo shoot whilst the guests entertained themselves at a local bar before all joining us for the evening reception. Quat Quatta is an elegant Victorian mansion and both the building itself and the beautiful gardens and terraces make a great setting for romantic wedding photos. It was a fun day and we did get to relax but, by the time we jumped onto the dance floor, the band was already playing the last song of the...

Emma and Sean

We are so lucky this season to be shooting a number of weddings at Summerfields in Bittern. On this occasion¬†Emma and Sean had asked us to join them for their wedding and we spent a fun-filled day with the bridal party and guests and were once again well looked-after by Leo and Maxine who own and run this magnificent venue. Another lovely day and the Autumn light was beautiful towards late afternoon as we took the bridal party shots in the olive grove and Emma and Sean’s shots by the lake. As usual we spent all evening at the party and had great fun recording everyone relaxing and letting their hair...

Kayleigh and Matt

Kayleigh and Matt

We were lucky enough to shoot another wedding at Summerfields Country House when we joined Kayleigh and Matt for their big day. Another bright sunny day and although the temperature wasn’t too high, the humidity certainly was. Prior to the wedding Steve joined Matt and his groomsmen at Fishermans’ Beach and had trouble keeping a grip on the cameras as his hands had never been so sweaty! Kim, on the other hand, was keeping cool in the air-conditioned luxury of Summerfields. It was great to have some extra time before the ceremony as there was ample opportunity to take some shots of Kayleigh around the beautiful grounds of the house. Both Kayleigh and Matt were born in the UK and many of Matt’s relatives have also emigrated to Australia, there were so many British accents that it was like shooting a wedding over there rather than in Melbourne! Once again Summerfields was a lovely venue for a wedding and we never tire of using the many amazing settings all around the...
