Melisa and Luke

Melisa and Luke

The first of a number of pre-wedding shoots this month saw us meeting Melisa and Luke in Mornington on a bright, sunny day. After a stroll down to Mornington Harbour Beach it didn’t take long for them to relax and start to enjoy the experience of being in front of two cameras. Spending most of our time on the sand it was difficult for Melisa to make use of the special pair of high-heeled shoes she had brought along for the occasion but she managed to wear them once we reached the old boat launch ramp. It wasn’t possible for her to walk down the ramp in them though, we delivered them once she was in position – we didn’t think it was wise to run the risk of Melisa ending up in the...

Kristy and Howard

Kristy and Howard

Whilst we were busy shooting a wedding ourselves, our colleagues Beth and Dave covered Kristy and Howard’s wedding at Stillwater on the Crittenden Estate in Dromana. What an amazing day, it looks as though we missed a fun occasion as Kristy and Howard had planned their location shoot to take place before their ceremony. This meant they had plenty of time and were never rushed as they had photos taken in and around Dromana. They have ended up with some great beach shots as well as some taken in woodland areas and still had time for more photos at Stillwater. The whole day had a Scottish theme, due to Howard’s heritage, and there was a contingent from Scotland helping them to celebrate their big day! Great work Beth and Dave, we love...

Carolyn and Ben

Carolyn and Ben

Last weekend we shot Carolyn and Ben’s wedding at All Smiles in Sorrento. This venue is set on the top of the Ocean Beach cliff and is a wonderful setting for a wedding with it’s magnificent views and access to the beach. Fortunately there was no rain but the wind was blowing hard, seemingly at gale-force when we went down to the beach! Here’s one photo for now, more to follow when Carolyn and Ben have seen them after their...

Ebony and Justin

Ebony and Justin

Faced with the prospect of heavy rain on their wedding day and with only hours to go, Ebony and Justin made the brave decision to move their ceremony from Emerald Lake Park to an indoor venue. They had a willing team of people who called all the guests with the news and the day was a complete success with the rain holding off for a crucial hour after the ceremony allowing us to get the bridal party photos captured before the reception at Linley Estate. It was a lovely day and we  send our congratulations to you both, especially considering the last minute changes! More photos...

Lani and Michael

Lani and Michael

We recently shot Lani and Michael’s wedding in Brighton and when in Brighton, if it’s a sunny day, you have to do a beach shoot on the Middle Brighton Beach and take advantage of the iconic beach boxes with their amazing variety of colours. Of course you do have to try and avoid tripping over the sun-worshippers…. You will probably recognise the beach box in the first photo, it must be one of the most photographed beach scenes in Melbourne! Lani and her bridesmaids’ wedding preparations took place at a friend’s house nearby and it was a wonderful setting for some shots before the ceremony. It was certainly a very bright day and the beach shoot was a strain on everyones’ eyes, the guys were certainly glad to do some shots whilst being allowed to wear their sunnies. As you’ll see below it made for a great...
