Kylie & Steve

Kylie & Steve

We had arranged an evening shoot for Kylie and Steve’s pre-wedding portrait session. They live in Bonbeach so we headed for our favourite spot in that area and were greeted with a very misty scene with smoke haze from the fires in Gippsland. However, it cast a veil across the sun and actually produced some amazing light! Kylie and Steve are getting married at Summerfields Country House in a few weeks. We are hoping for a gorgeous Autumn day as the light is always lovely at that time of year at...

Krystal & Nathan

Krystal & Nathan

We celebrated Australia Day with Krystal and Nathan at their wedding at Summerfields Country House in Bittern. They had spent a long time planning their special day and it all paid off as everything went smoothly making them feel nice and relaxed on the day. Krystal said that having time to build a relationship with her suppliers really helped and she had felt confident that it was going to be a great day! The ceremony was performed by a family friend and then afterwards we had a walk around the estate stopping to take photos in the driveway, olive grove and down by the lake. Their little girl Willow and her cousin had the enormous task of looking really cute for the day, which wasn’t difficult for them! It was nice to see some familiar faces during the day with Martin from Bogart’s Limousines providing the transport and DJ Peterd with the sounds for the day. Their friends loved the photo booth in the evening and made full use of the props provided and Krystal enjoyed dancing to one of her favourites…Time Warp! Here is a selection of images from their day and they are now looking forward to their honeymoon at the beginning of March....

Amanda & Tate

Amanda & Tate

It was going to be a hot day, so we met Amanda and Tate early one Sunday morning in Mornington. We decided to try out a new beach for their shoot but when we arrived at our newly found spot not only was the beach packed due to an event at the Life Saving Club but it was very misty and the tide was out further than we’ve ever seen it! Although they didn’t get a typical beach shoot we found the situation very creative and like all good creative people turned it to our advantage with being able to do something different! Amanda and Tate had their pre-wedding shoot early as Amanda’s family are from the UK and they are using some of the images for their Save The Date cards. Their wedding next January at Werribee seems quite a way off at the moment but no doubt it will come around quickly. Werribee Mansion is another one of our favourite venues so we’ll be looking forward to...

Neralee & Matt

Neralee & Matt

It was lovely to be asked to shoot Neralee and Matt’s wedding as our colleagues in our studio had shot her sister Sheryn’s wedding a couple of years ago.  Then before Sheryn and Mike we had shot Mike’s sisters wedding so it’s always nice to be involved in a wedding with connections! We were all excited to see Neralee’s dress as it had been designed and made by her sister Sheryn and it looked beautiful being matched with a lovely long veil which we had a lot of fun with! Their wedding took place at St Leonard’s Church followed by the reception at The International in Brighton. The Georgian Room and courtyard is a fantastic setting and we were all very well looked after by the staff during the evening. The weather was absolutely perfect for park and beach shots with the bridal party. We then took Neralee and Matt to another location for some more romantic pictures outside a french provincial style house which complemented the theme for their wedding. We had a great day celebrating with their friends and family and now they are busy planning their European honeymoon!...

Sarah & Sean

Sarah & Sean

We caught up with Sarah and Sean recently after their long road trip to Queensland for their honeymoon and here is a selection of images from their special day. Their wedding took place at Sarah’s family home in Mount Martha, probably the closest wedding we’ve ever done to home as the property is around the corner from us! The house and gardens were lovely and were complemented by all the hard work put in by their family and friends to decorate the marquee and lawns with a country style theme. Another unusual aspect to their wedding was having Sean and his groomsmen arriving on motorbikes! Bikes had to feature at the wedding as Sean and his Dad are very keen bikers. It was an amazing day weather wise which meant everyone had a great time in the evening either being able to sit on a hay bale and chat or dance the night away in the marquee. Sarah and Sean also treated us to a feature dance which took us all by...
