Another Summerfields wedding! We love this venue in Bittern and this time we were shooting Kara and Andrew’s big day. We always try to find a new view or location at Summerfields so that we can give all our couples something different and this time we had a lovely car to work with, in the form of a stunning black Mustang.

Kara and Andrew both have horse-racing connections so we had wondered if Kara might arrive at Summerfields on horseback but this Mustang, with it’s registration number M1PONY, was just as appropriate!

As you can see below, we had fun with the bridal party and, although the weather had looked threatening in the morning, we were treated to some lovely cloudy skies which look great in the photos. Congratulations to you both, it was an awesome day!

Kylie and Dave

Kylie and Dave celebrated their wedding recently at the Police Academy Chapel in Glen Waverley. This magnificent building makes a great location for photos as the inside of the chapel is bright and open plus there is a fantastic black and white tiled hallway which we used for the bridal party shots – you can see some of these below.

On our way to the reception at the Bridge Hotel in Mordialloc we stopped at Aspendale Beach to take some bridal party shots. The weather was perfect and we took some fun shots of everyone messing around on the sand, although the sun was quite low and we had to shoot into the light a number of times to save them all from squinting! Our congratulations to Kylie and Dave, we had a lovely day and are so pleased that you like your photos!

Sarah-Jayne and Chris

Last Friday, Sarah-Jayne and Chris were married at Tatra, the wedding venue at Mt Dandenong. After a week of changeable weather their wedding day turned into a lovely autumn day and with a temperature only just in the mid-teens we had to keep everyone moving to keep warm, especially during the bridal party shoot when the light was starting to go!

Kylie and Mike

Kylie and Mike celebrated their wedding at Goona Warra Vineyard on Easter Sunday and as it was our first wedding at this venue we were looking forward to making the most of the beautiful scenery which surrounds the old building used for the ceremony and reception. Kylie and her family had stayed at Rupertswood, another fascinating old building also in Sunbury, the previous night so we were lucky to have two great locations to shoot at.

The weather turned out to be perfect and we were able to take some great shots by the vines and we even had a lovely sunset as well!

Guests came from far and wide, from country Victoria, Perth and around 15 of Mike’s family and friends had made the trip over from the UK, which made it even more of a special day!

Ariel and Dale

Ariel and Dale have just returned from their long European honeymoon so we have finally been able to present them with the photos from their hugely entertaining wedding. They married recently at one of our favourite venues, Summerfields Country House in Bittern.

They had wanted an unconventional wedding and the day lived up to their expectations, providing many surprising and fun moments. We couldn’t stop laughing during the bridal party shoot and it was very obvious that everyone had a great time.

Narelle and Dean

Narelle and Dean were married at Morning Star Estate in Mt Eliza recently and, as we have shot weddings there before, we had big plans to use some of the great outdoor settings for the photo shoot. However, the weather had other ideas and decided to provide an unseasonal quantity of rain, managing to pour down all day.

Fortunately Morning Star has some beautiful buildings and tucked away down some of the passageways are some great spots which we managed to use without getting wet. Narelle did brave the rain on a few occasions though, thankfully we have some large umbrellas which helped!

All this goes to prove that it really doesn’t matter what the weather does on your wedding day, it will still be a wonderful celebration and you will still have great memories and beautiful photos to remind you of your big day! Congratulations to you both, Narelle and Dean!

Kylie and Mike

On Easter Sunday we went up to Sunbury to shoot Kylie and Mike’s wedding at Goona Warra Vineyard. It’s a great location with old buildings and lovely views across the vines.

This was our first wedding at this venue and we were fortunate that the timing was just right to take their photos as the sun was setting. More photos to follow soon!

Once again we were lucky enough to shoot a wedding at Summerfields in Bittern, this time it was for Kara and Andrew. We love this venue and always challenge ourselves to find something new or a different location for the bridal party photos.

With their horse-racing connections we half expected Kara to arrive on horseback but, as you can see, she kept to that theme by arriving in this superb Mustang with the registration number MIPONY! More photos to follow soon!

Jennifer and Daniel

We shot a wedding in Warrandyte recently, our first at Potters Receptions. What a great place, so many photo opportunities! Jennifer and Daniel also asked us to take some of their bridal party shots by the river in Warrandyte so we had visited the area a few weeks beforehand and luckily the river runs right behind a bakery which sells a great range of homemade cakes, so we had researched the river area and tested the the cakes at the same time, well worth the visit!

No time for cakes on Jennifer and Daniel’s wedding day though but, after the ceremony, we managed to get some great shots by the river before heading back to Potters for their reception. Matt, the videographer, mentioned that a good shot could be taken of the couple by the stream which runs through the grounds at Potters. He was quite right, we did get some good photos, but we had to scramble through the undergrowth (nearly ending up in the water at one point) to get them! The things we do…….. We did enjoy our first Potters wedding though!
