Michelle & Martin’s Wedding

Michelle & Martin’s Wedding

We caught up with Michelle and Martin recently to present their wedding photos to them! They were very excited to see them after their honeymoon in Europe visiting family in two countries and exploring a few more. We also were away during their trip visiting the UK and as chance would have it we were on the same flight out of Melbourne! Knowing they would be visiting family we had printed out a few pictures and handed over the surprise package to them at the airport, it was so lovely to be able to do this for them! We were so lucky with the weather on their special day as it stayed calm and sunny which not only meant we were able to get some fantastic images down at Point Leo beach but the lake at Summerfields was like a mirror, so we love all the reflection shots. Venues can look quite different in the winter months but the bare trees around the property give the images a more arty and graphic feel to them! They had hoped to have the ceremony outside but the ground was still a little wet but that is the great advantage of a venue like Summerfields as they have such a beautiful indoor ceremony room as well! Michelle and Martin planned an entertaining day for their guests so whilst we went for photos at the beach the guests enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea followed by drinks and canapes. Michelle had arranged a surprise for the guests and after the main course an Italian chef appeared and started singing! He was followed by his Maitre d’ and they had everyone singing and waiving their napkins in the air! Martin was also invited up to accompany them during one song by playing the triangle! During the rest of the evening the guests enjoyed dancing to the band Popcorn who are fantastic! This is the second time we’ve seen them this year and we can certainly recommend them. Michelle and Martin also had a photobooth and as you can see below everyone had great fun dressing up using the props! Michelle and Martin had a wonderful wedding day at Summerfields looked after by Joyce and her amazing team and here are a few images from the day!      ...

Michelle & Martin – Sneak Peak

We were so lucky yesterday with some glorious winter sun for Michelle and Martin’s wedding at Summerfields Estate on the Mornington Peninsula.  Unfortunately the ground was still too wet after a week of rain to have the ceremony outside but we were able to go to a nearby beach for photos and then catch the last of the light down by the lake at Summerfields. Here is one shot from the beach yesterday and more to follow when Michelle and Martin have seen the rest…..which will be a few weeks as they are off to visit family overseas in Europe for their honeymoon!...

We were wondering if we were going to have to postpone Michelle and Martin’s shoot as it looked as if it was going to pour down! However, by the time we’d had a catch up and a coffee the clouds parted and it turned into a lovely morning! We used the main beach in Mornington as it has some nice feature with boat sheds, rocks and a feature staircase. To give them some variety we also used one of our favourite trees in the park. Michelle and Martin are busy putting the final plans in place for their wedding at Summerfields in July. Let’s hope we get more gorgeous weather for their special day as well!  ...

Kim and Brenton

Kim and Brenton

Kim and Brenton had a beautiful day for their beachside wedding held at the Portsea Hotel on the Mornington Peninsula, the sea was an amazing aquamarine and you really just wanted to jump into it! Family and friends came from far and wide to attend their special day, including Torres the groomsman who came all the way from the USA complete with cowboy hats! After the ceremony we took Kim and Brenton down to the pier and beach for their photos. The walkway between the two bay beaches has recently been re-modelled and now has some lovely features for photos! At the reception Kim and Brenton had worked very hard creating their beach theme for the room, with table decorations, lovely gifts for their guests and some super glove puppets for the children which they all loved. Kim had also chosen wooden flowers for the bouquets, button holes and decorations. These are really unusual and made of delicate strips of wood layered to create a rose! There were lots of surprises during the day, Kim had prepared a set of photo albums of their story for Brenton which her Dad presented to him whilst he was getting ready. Kim’s Mum had put together a slideshow of Kim growing up which was played during the dance with her Dad……which produced lots of tears! Tristan from Bear Booth photo booth had everyone dressing up and having a laugh whilst DJ Peter D provided the music for dancing the night away. After a relaxing Sunday, Kim and Brenton enjoyed their honeymoon up in Cairns narrowly missing two weather systems and it was nice to see them back so we could present their photos to them!  ...
