Neralee & Matt

Neralee & Matt

It was lovely to be asked to shoot Neralee and Matt’s wedding as our colleagues in our studio had shot her sister Sheryn’s wedding a couple of years ago.  Then before Sheryn and Mike we had shot Mike’s sisters wedding so it’s always nice to be involved in a wedding with connections! We were all excited to see Neralee’s dress as it had been designed and made by her sister Sheryn and it looked beautiful being matched with a lovely long veil which we had a lot of fun with! Their wedding took place at St Leonard’s Church followed by the reception at The International in Brighton. The Georgian Room and courtyard is a fantastic setting and we were all very well looked after by the staff during the evening. The weather was absolutely perfect for park and beach shots with the bridal party. We then took Neralee and Matt to another location for some more romantic pictures outside a french provincial style house which complemented the theme for their wedding. We had a great day celebrating with their friends and family and now they are busy planning their European honeymoon!...

The park was nice and quiet unlike the main beach! and……..their bridal party couldn’t resist adding to our jumping collection, we think they were pretty good! More to come when we have presented them with their images.  ...

Jennifer and Daniel

Jennifer and Daniel

Jennifer and Daniel suggested we meet at a beach during their Christmas holiday for their pre-wedding shoot and, as Brighton is mid-way between us, we suggested the park at North Point. This area has some lovely old trees for when you need shade and a rocky foreshore with views to the city, plus a new jetty where we can take some interesting graphic shots. Two things to be aware of at this park though, the jetty has steel mesh on the walkway and if your subject is wearing high-heels they have to tread very carefully. One bridesmaid recently had to be rescued when her shoe heel became lodged in the steelwork! Secondly, the car park attendants are very keen to give you a parking fine if you dare to leave your car in a boat trailer space. We recently parked in one of these spaces, thinking it was safe as there were no trailers in sight, and that cost us $122! So, having parked carefully and checked that Jennifer was not wearing stilleto heels, we had a great time with both of them and are looking forward to their wedding in less than a month’s...

Lani and Michael

Lani and Michael

We recently shot Lani and Michael’s wedding in Brighton and when in Brighton, if it’s a sunny day, you have to do a beach shoot on the Middle Brighton Beach and take advantage of the iconic beach boxes with their amazing variety of colours. Of course you do have to try and avoid tripping over the sun-worshippers…. You will probably recognise the beach box in the first photo, it must be one of the most photographed beach scenes in Melbourne! Lani and her bridesmaids’ wedding preparations took place at a friend’s house nearby and it was a wonderful setting for some shots before the ceremony. It was certainly a very bright day and the beach shoot was a strain on everyones’ eyes, the guys were certainly glad to do some shots whilst being allowed to wear their sunnies. As you’ll see below it made for a great...

Here’s a single image from Lani and Michael’s wedding which took place in Brighton last weekend. It was so busy that we only managed to find two beach boxes with any space for us, even then we were tripping over the sun-worshippers making the most of the glorious weather! More photos...
