We shot Mary and Anthony’s wedding at St Brigid’s Church in Mordialloc recently and were lucky enough to have a warm Spring day so we were able to take advantage of Mordialloc Beach for some of their photos after the ceremony. Their reception was hosted by Leo and Maxine at Summerfields Country House in Bittern and before the guests arrived we took advantage of the beautiful grounds for the bridal party photo shoot. Summerfields has to be one of our favourite locations as it is home to some wonderful scenery and, even after having shot a number of weddings there, we still keep finding new angles and views to take advantage of  – as you will see in some of the images...

Another pre-wedding shoot and this time our colleagues Beth and Dave met up with Kristy and Howard in Mordialloc for a wander along the inlet to the beach-side park. As usual for Mordialloc it was a windy day but they were lucky as the sun shone and the shoot was a good practice run for their wedding in a couple of weeks’...

Another pre-wedding shoot for our colleagues Beth and Dave, this time with Keri and Alex whom we all met up with in Mordialloc on yet another beautiful Spring day. Such a lovely day in fact that the pier was full of families aimlessly strolling along and getting in the way of some great shots. It must have been warm because Keri and Alex were quite happy to lie down on the grass and, once on the beach, Keri even slipped off her shoes to test the temperature of the water – see her reaction to that experience...

Mordialloc was the chosen location for Sonya and Owen’s shoot as it was the midway point between their home and ours. It’s a great place to meet people because the Bridge Hotel serves great coffee and the beach, jetty and park are great locations. This time the beach was off-limits though as it had been taken over by a beach rugby competition. Sonya wasn’t really suitably dressed to take part in that so we shot whilst we wandered down the riverside before detouring over to the park. The shade under the trees provided some relief from the glare of the beach as Owen tried unsuccessfully not to squint, so here’s a good tip when heading off to a shoot at the beach – don’t wear your sunnies for several hours beforehand to help your eyes adjust to the brightness!
