Karen & Justin

Karen & Justin

We met Karen and Justin one beautiful evening a couple of weeks ago for their pre-wedding shoot. Now which Mornington beach to use? We headed down to the main beach as it was a little less windy and Karen and Justin laughed their way through their shoot. We first met Karen and Justin over 3 years ago at another wedding when Karen caught the bouquet and now it’s her turn to be a beautiful bride tomorrow! Their wedding will be at Ashcombe Maze on the Mornington Peninsula and we’ll have to make sure none of us get lost in the maze!...

Tammy and Chris

Tammy and Chris

We met Tammy and Chris at The Rocks in Mornington Harbour and had a chat over a coffee before heading out into the stiff breeze for their pre-wedding shoot. And it was certainly windy when we reached the top of Schnapper Point and continued down to the rocky shoreline. We really like the rugged scenery and managed to get a number of shots but the wind was so strong that it was difficult to hold the cameras still! So we retreated to the leeward side of the Point and, finding that the harbour itself was quite well protected, we were able to complete the shoot in comfort and Chris was able to stand next to Tammy without being covered by her long hair! We must remember to check the wind strength next...

Melisa and Luke

Melisa and Luke

The first of a number of pre-wedding shoots this month saw us meeting Melisa and Luke in Mornington on a bright, sunny day. After a stroll down to Mornington Harbour Beach it didn’t take long for them to relax and start to enjoy the experience of being in front of two cameras. Spending most of our time on the sand it was difficult for Melisa to make use of the special pair of high-heeled shoes she had brought along for the occasion but she managed to wear them once we reached the old boat launch ramp. It wasn’t possible for her to walk down the ramp in them though, we delivered them once she was in position – we didn’t think it was wise to run the risk of Melisa ending up in the...

Carlie and Adam

Carlie and Adam chose to meet us in Mornington for their pre-wedding shoot and having been to the local beaches a number of times recently we suggested that we use the local harbour as a location. This area has some old boat slipways which make a good backdrop and the rocky features of Schnapper Point look great in the photos as well. We started with the slipways then walked up the hill to the boardwalk to take in the views before going down to the Point. The rocks around Schnapper Point look quite dramatic against the seascape and even the memorial at the top of the hill makes a good...

Kelly and Brendan

Kelly and Brendan

Morning Star Estate was the venue for Kelly and Brendan’s wedding and although the rain was threatening and their ceremony was held indoors in the chapel, the sun later came out and the guests were able to enjoy the party in the beautiful gardens. Meanwhile we wandered the estate taking advantage of the many gorgeous locations including the vineyard and the funky buildings with their ‘distressed’ paintwork! Later on we went to Schnappers Point in Mornington and Kelly was quite happy to run down the rock paths to get to the best locations. Finally, a trip to one of the harbour jetties just because we love old wooden...
